This policy covers dalonic.com, operated by Dalonic Private Limited. Our other products (Artifacto, Turnly, and whatever comes next) run on their own domains and carry their own policies when they launch; this page is only about what happens on this site. The terms of service cover the rest of using it.

What we collect

Newsletter email. If you subscribe, we store the email address you enter, and nothing else with it. We will use it to email you when we ship a new product or a notable feature, and for nothing else. We have not sent one of those yet. We do send you one message when you subscribe, confirming you are on the list. Every newsletter we send carries an unsubscribe link, and your mail app may show its own unsubscribe button beside it. Using either deletes your address: we do not keep it on a list of people not to write to. You can also ask us at hello@dalonic.com.
Account details. If you sign in, it is through Google, and we receive your name, email address, and avatar from Google. We never see your password. A session cookie keeps you signed in.
Organisations. If you create an organisation from your dashboard, we store the name you give it and who belongs to it. If you invite someone, we store the email address you type for them until that invitation is accepted or expires. Invite only people who expect to hear from you, because that address is a person we then hold data about.
Email we send you. Whenever we send you one of the messages described here, we keep a record of it: which message it was, the address it went to, its subject, when we sent it, and what our email provider said became of it, such as delivered or refused. We do not track whether you open our email. There is no tracking pixel in it, we do not record whether you loaded its images, and we do not store your IP address or which mail app you used. Ask us at hello@dalonic.com and we will delete the record.
Job applications. If you apply for a role, we store the name, email address and message you enter, and any portfolio, GitHub or LinkedIn links you choose to add. We use it to consider your application and to reply to you. We email you once to confirm we have it, which sends your name and email address to Cloudflare, who deliver the message. Our team can add private notes to your application and mark its status. Ask us at hello@dalonic.com and we will delete it.
Usage analytics. We use PostHog to understand how the site is used. It records the pages you view, how long a page stays open, and clicks and form interactions. For an interaction it records the visible text of the element and, if it was a link, where the link pointed. On a page where you are signed in, that text can include your own name or email address as the page displays it. It also records page performance measurements such as loading speed, your approximate location from your IP address, and your browser and device type. We do not sell this data and we do not use it for advertising. Pages inside our internal console are not recorded.
Session replay. PostHog also records a replay of your visit. All text and all images are masked, so a replay shows the layout of the page, where you moved and clicked, and when you typed, but not what the page said and not what you wrote. It also captures messages our site writes to the browser console, and the addresses your browser requested with their timings and status codes, though not the contents of those requests. We use replays to find where the site confuses people and to understand a bug.
Sign-in records. For each sign-in we store the IP address and browser user-agent string of the session in our own database, alongside the sign-in tokens Google gives us. We use them to keep you signed in and to spot suspicious access.

Where it lives

We use a small number of service providers to host this site, store its data, sign you in, send you email, and measure how the site is used. Some of them hold data outside India. We name every one of them, say what each does for us, and say where each holds data, on the subprocessors page. That page is the one we keep current when our stack changes, so it is the accurate answer to where your data is at any time.

Your choices and rights

Write to hello@dalonic.com to ask what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, including removing a job application, and deleting an organisation or an invitation you created. We answer from the same inbox, which is also our grievance contact under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. We keep data only as long as it serves the purpose above, and we delete accounts, newsletter subscriptions, job applications, records of email we sent you, organisations and session replays on request. Deleting covers what we hold: a confirmation email already sent has left us, and the copy of your name and email address it carried sits with Cloudflare and with your own mail provider, where our deletion cannot reach. One exception: we keep a log for accountability, both of what our team does in our internal console and of an unsubscribe you make yourself, and an entry recording a deletion names the email address it concerned. So when you unsubscribe, your address is deleted from the list and survives in the line recording that, which is how we can show the request was honoured. The record of the confirmation we already sent you keeps it too, as the bullet above says; ask us and we will delete that as well. That entry outlives the record it describes.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date above changes with it. A material change to how we handle your email gets announced to the list itself.
